We understand the importance of having flexibility in your work schedule, especially when it comes to caring for others. That’s why HC-One has introduced our Flex Force initiative, giving you the freedom to choose the contracted hours you work within a 12-week cycle.
The freedom doesn’t end there, you can choose your preferred shifts and work across several care homes. By committing to a set number of hours, you can have peace of mind knowing you’ll have a permanent contract and consistent pay, with all additional hours worked paid at the end of each 12-week cycle.
Plus, our full induction and training will give you the skills to provide the best possible care to our residents, with support from our friendly team along your journey.

What’s involved in the role?
Care Assistants support our Residents to do everything they need to lead a very good life, while putting their comfort, happiness, health, and wellbeing first.
What contracted hours are available?
Is this a zero-hour contract?
No, this contract offers the option to select from a range of contracted hours with guaranteed monthly pay.
How much will I get paid?
You will be paid up to £10.90 to £11.45 per hour for all hours worked, all additional hours worked will be paid at the end of each 12-week cycle.
How does this role differ from working with an agency?
We’re offering permanent contracts with set monthly guaranteed hours and guaranteed pay. Plus, from day 1 you’ll be part of the HC-One family.
Will I be given a HC-One Induction?
A three-day mandatory induction will start on day 1 of your 12-week cycle. Inductions are Monday to Friday 9/5. You will also be given shadow shifts to learn the HC-One way.
When will my 12-week cycle begin?
Day 1 of your induction is the beginning of your 12-week cycle.
What happens at the end of my 12-week cycle?
Your next 12-week cycle will automatically refresh.
Can I work more than one 12-week cycle?
Absolutely!
Do I get paid annual leave?
Absolutely, your annual leave will be calculated based on the hours you work.
Who can I speak to if my circumstances change?
Your supervisor will be there to support you throughout your journey.
Do I need experience in care?
Whilst experience is an advantage, full award-winning training will be given.
What hours are available?
The shifts offered will vary from home to home, but the flexibility is yours to choose the shifts that best suit your lifestyle.
Where will I work?
There will be several homes within each cluster, making every day different!
Is my PVG/DBS paid for?
We cover the cost of this for all HC-One Colleagues
Will I wear a uniform and badge?
We cover the cost of this for all HC-One Colleagues
Will HC-One sponsor me?
